Environmental Social and Governance (ESG) Statement
CABS is committed to enhancing the environment in which we operate and fostering a sustainable ecosystem for current and future generations. This commitment is embedded in our core values and reflected in our customer promise: “We’ll help you get there.”
To uphold this philosophy, CABS has established a comprehensive Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) policy. This policy outlines the activities we engage in and those we avoid based on their potential impact on the physical environment, the communities we serve, and our commitment to good corporate governance. It is supported by robust internal controls to ensure compliance with the standards we set for our partners.
By adopting this approach, CABS is taking proactive steps to promote sustainability and responsible business practices within the Zimbabwean market, benefiting both present and future generations. In line with our dedication to championing ESG issues and enhancing transparency, CABS has embraced the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) as of 2023.
CABS AML/CFT Statement
CABS acknowledges its responsibility in managing the risks associated with money laundering and terrorist financing, both in Zimbabwe and on a regional and global scale.
To comply with the various laws and regulations governing our operations, CABS has implemented a comprehensive set of controls, supported by policies and training programs for all staff and outsourced partners.
We do not engage in business with any entities listed on United Nations sanctions lists, and we continually strive to ensure that we do not have customers or counterparties known or reasonably suspected to be involved in money laundering, terrorist financing, or sanctions evasion. CABS will not process transactions that appear to relate to these offenses.
We take diligent measures to ensure that our systems are not exploited for criminal activities and actively cooperate with law enforcement and regulatory authorities to identify and investigate any suspicious transactions, trading patterns, or customers.
CABS fully adheres to the recommendations of the Financial Action Task Force (FATF) and the Wolfsberg Principles, while also considering additional guidance on managing financial crime risks. We comply with the requirements outlined in the Money Laundering and Proceeds of Crime Act and the Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe’s risk-based approach to Anti-Money Laundering.
CABS Data Privacy Statement
CABS is dedicated to safeguarding the safety and security of our customers. This commitment extends not only to their funds and the platforms they use for transactions but also to the data customers entrust to us for facilitating those transactions.
We recognize that customer data belongs to the customers, and we are entrusted to use it for specific purposes. CABS utilizes customer data solely for the reasons it was provided, unless the customer has given explicit, informed consent for its use in other ways. We strive to communicate clearly with customers about why we need their data, and our Privacy Policy outlines how we manage that data once it is in our possession.
CABS complies with local data protection and consumer privacy laws, including the Cyber and Data Protection Act [Chapter 12:07], and we adhere to international best practices for data protection and privacy.
